About Our Pastor

Pastor Jesse T. West is a native of Mt. Vernon, New York. He was raised in an Adventist home, and attended both public and Adventist schools. He graduated from Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama where he received a Bachelors degree in Theology, with a minor in History and Biblical Languages. He also holds a Masters of Divinity from Andrews University Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

Pastor West is married to the former Bettie Williams of Greenville, North Carolina. Sister West is also a graduated of Oakwood College with a Bachelors degree in English and minors in Secondary Education and History. She also is a graduate of Andrews University with a Masters degree in Community Counseling. She has a wealth of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor working for the state of South Carolina for the past ten years.

The Lord has graciously blessed Pastor and Sister West's union with three wonderful adult children.
Through much prayer, fasting and perseverance, Pastor West's call to the Pastoral Ministry was recognized by the South Atlantic Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

After completing his studies at the seminary, Pastor West was call to be the pastor of the New Life SDA Church of Aiken, SC and the Johnston SDA church of Johnston, SC. Pastor West's latest assignment was to be the Pastor of the Mt. Olive SDA Church of Hemingway, SC and the Bethel SDA Church of Bucksport, SC. This was his "Miracle Pastorate." God showed him what He could do. "Our God is in the Healing Business."

Pastor West is a cancer survivor and he believes in the power of prayer. He knows that it is God and God along who holds the power to help us in our very time of need. He gives praises unto the Lord our God, for our God is a faithful and just God.
